Obituary for James Teter

James  Teter
James Teter, 69 of Verdunville departed this life Tuesday December 26 at CAMC General in Charleston.

He was born September 26, 1947 in Randolph County, WV to the late Joh Christopher Teter and Susie Belle Long Teter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in by three sisters: June, Janet, and Naomi; six brothers, Burley, Andy, Ralph, Bob, Bill, and John. He was also preceded in death his mother and father-in-law, Bill and Nola Bryant Tomblin and 1 brother-in-law Jimmy.

Mr. Teter was a retired Sergeant having served 4 years in the United States Army and was employed with Ford Motor Company for 23 years.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Mary Tomblin Teter; brothers, Roy, Paul, and Tom; sister, Bonnie; 2 sisters-in-law, Brenda (Agie) Bryant and Silvia Teter; brother-in-law, Donald (Norsie) Tomblin; special nephews, DJ, Scotty, Billy, Adam, Jacob, Maddox, Elijah, Parker, Emmett, Mike, Johnny, JR, Larry, Jerry, Billy, Randy, Bobby, Dale Jr., Troy Dean, Bobby Lee, Roy Jr., Andrew, Billy, and Jimmy; special nieces, Julie, Melody, Ashley, Alexandrea, Brianna, Chelsea, Eden, Madalyn, Addison, Betty Ann, Denise, Ruthie, Peggy Sue, Carla, Carolyn, Bobbie, Patty, Brenda, Charlotte, Cindy, and Wendy. He is also survived by a special cousin, Donna Sue Baisden.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday December 31 at Akers-James Funeral Home in Logan with Rev. Darrell Newsome officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Tomblin Cemetery at Verdunville.

Friends and family may call from 6 – 9 p.m. Friday December 30 also at the funeral home.
